The Sollatek FreoGuard Compressor Protector is designed to protect refrigeration appliances, particularly their compressors, from damage caused by fluctuations in the mains power supply. Key features and function: Voltage Protection: It disconnects the power supply to the connected appliance (e.g., fridge, freezer, air conditioner) if the mains voltage goes below or above pre-set acceptable limits, safeguarding the compressor from both under-voltage and over-voltage conditions. Spike/Surge Protection: It offers protection against damaging power spikes and surges, which can occur during power restoration after an outage or due to events like lightning strikes. Intelligent Time Delay (AVS™ function): The FreoGuard incorporates a crucial delay before reconnecting the power after a fluctuation or outage. This "Automatic Voltage Switcher" (AVS) function allows compressor gases to neutralize, preventing damage from rapid cycling or "power-back surges" that occur when power is restored. TimeSave™ Feature: An advanced feature that intelligently manages the start-up delay. If the unit has been off for a duration longer than the standard delay (e.g., 3 minutes), it can significantly reduce the reconnection time upon stable power return (e.g., to 30 seconds), maximizing operational time. Indicators: The device uses colored LEDs to indicate its status: Red for "Voltage BAD, output off", Yellow for "Voltage Good, Wait 3 min.", and Green for "Voltage Good, OUTPUT/LOAD is connected". Application: It is suitable for various refrigeration equipment and air conditioners, and is available in different current ratings (e.g., 16A or 30A), designed to be integrated into the appliance's wiring.
